It’s been two years since Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah and husband Mr. Agyemang divorced, though they have a son together
It’s been two years since Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah and husband Mr. Agyemang divorced, though they have a son together.
Shortly after the divorce, the actress was seen at public functions with Nigerian actor Bobby Obodo. As one would expect, the public started asking questions about the new man in Jackie’s life. According to the actress, they were just friends. Some media houses, having seen how often Jackie was hanging out with “Bob,” as she affectionately calls him, concluded they were dating. But the actress vehemently denied that report when she said: “He is simply a colleague and there is no truth in the allegation that we are dating. It’s false! Because people see us together does not mean we are romantically inclined. It is just a figment of some people’s imagination. Some people are up to mischief. Controversies no longer get to me. I have outgrown many things. We are best friends, not lovers…”
On the 1st of April, 2014, the Nigerian actor celebrated his birthday with Jackie by his side. He wrote on his social media page: “Jackie is a special woman. Jackie is my very, very, very good friend. We are very good friends, that is how I can describe it. About people seeing us together at some private places; I think that is normal. We are adults and 2 adults can decide to hang out together if they like to and is there any big deal if 2 adults decide to be hanging out together, more so I have told you that Jackie is my very good friend.”
Jackie Appiah and Bobby Obodo
Now reports have it that the two are secretly dating, that Bobby has gone to see Jackie’s family and that the family has given them their approval. If the reports are anything to go by, then we could be hearing church bells very soon.
Most celebrities want to keep their love life private from the public. Remember when Jackie Appiah was first rumoured to have marital problems and that she and her then husband Mr. Agyemang were contemplating divorce? She flatly denied it in an interview. Maybe she was trying to save the situation, but denying it never helped. The fact of the matter is that relationships and marriages can be hard. One fact still remains: there are no problem-free relationships.
Maybe Jackie is being tight-lipped about her relationship with Bobby Obodo due to the fact that her first marriage didn’t work. Why make noise about her new “boyfriend” before she’s sure that they’re a great match? She probably wants to allow the relationship to grow and see if she has a future with the actor before unveiling him to the public.
Whatever the case, Jackie Appiah has her own reasons and nobody can force the truth out of her. After all, she’s entitled to her privacy and that includes whom she is dating. If she’s indeed dating Bobby, we wish them the best of luck

Morning Teaser Why do men sleep with their maids?
We got this pathetic letter from one of our readers who lamented that her 46-years-old husband got their 20-years-old housemaid pregnant and has been behaving as if everything is cool.
He has even threatened to send her packing if she sends the maid away. The most painful thing for the lady is that his family members do not see anything wrong with what their son did, saying that as a man, he has every right to marry more than one wife.
She would not have minded so much if it was another woman outside but her anger stems from the fact that she brought the girl from the village when she was just 12-years-old and has been taking care of her like her own daughter, sending her to train as an hair dresser and setting up a shop for her, only for her to get pregnant for her husband.
The case of men sleeping with their maids is not a new thing in this part of the world but that does not make it right.

Crazy World 36-year-old man arrested for raping 9-year-old girl
This psycho who thinks raping little girls is cool is now cooling his heels in police cell.
Raping of minors should carry stiffer punishments. (Pulse)
The Jigawa State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), is sure not leaving any stone unturned to make the city a crime free state with the rate at which they are nabbing criminals. The recent arrest of a 36-year-old serial rapist, Ahmed Sule, for allegedlyraping a 9-year-old girl in the Kuden Gabas village of Dutse local government area of the state is drawing a lot of commendation.
According to the state Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr Mouhammad Gidado Fari, his officers arrested the accused person said to be living in the same village with the victim and on investigation, it was realised that it was not the first time he has been defiling young girls before the long arm of the law caught up with him.
The suspect has been charged to court while the case has been scheduled for hearing on December 4, 2014

Morning Teaser Do you support the lawmakers who jumped the fence of the National Assembly?
Is it in defense of Nigeria's democracy that lawmakers would jump the fence into the National Assembly? The opposition party wants us to believe that.
Hon. Kawu Sumaila shows jumping of fence is part of democracy. (Premium Times)
A few weeks ago, some members of the House of Representatives were locked out of the National Assembly by the police on the allegation that there was information that some hoodlums were planning to ferment trouble. The lawmakers decided to take the laws into their hands and scale the fence of the assembly.
The incident became a strong talking point with many condemning the act of the lawmakers while some, especially the opposition All Progressive Party, APC, commending the act, saying they did it to defend Nigeria's democracy while blamingPresident Goodluck Jonathan for the closure of the NASS.
The issue has refused to die down after many weeks and just this morning, erudite Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, came out to pour encomium on the lawmakers, saying they did the right thing.
On Morning Teaser today, we ask: do you support the APC lawmakers who jumped the fence of the National Assembly?
